Let’s work together to create a supportive and distraction-free environment for all dancers, families, and guests. Below are a few reminders to ensure everyone enjoys the show and that our performers feel celebrated and respected.
Arrive early. Give yourself plenty of time to park, check in, scan your ticket, and find your seat.
Use the restroom before entering the theater so you don’t need to exit mid-show.
Only water is allowed in the theater—no food, snacks, or drinks.
Turn off all phones and electronic devices. Do not rely on vibrate or silent mode—alarms and screen lights can still be distracting.
If wearing a watch, turn off the alarm or opt for a watch without alerts.
Leave large bags at home or store small ones under your seat to keep aisles clear.
Check out the recital program! It’s a great way to follow along and support the dancers on stage.
No photography or video recording.
This protects dancer safety and follows copyright rules.
A professional videographer is capturing the full performance, and a digital copy is included in your recital package!
Stay quiet and attentive during routines—talking, phone use, and loud reactions can distract both dancers and nearby audience members.
Keep all devices off and screens out of sight. Glowing screens are not only distracting but can also interfere with the dancers’ visibility on stage.
Stay seated unless there’s an emergency. If you must exit, please wait until dancers are bowing and leave quietly.
Re-entry is limited and ushers will seat you in a designated area when appropriate.
🌟 After the Show
Celebrate all dancers with positive and kind comments. Everyone has worked hard to perform on stage, and all performances deserve applause and respect.
Take your program with you, or leave it neatly on the table outside the theater for someone else to enjoy.
Dispose of trash and recyclables properly in the bins provided outside the theater.
Following these etiquette guidelines helps make recital day a joyful and polished experience for everyone. From our tiniest ballerinas to our graduating seniors, every dancer deserves to feel proud, supported, and seen under the stage lights.
Thank you for being such an important part of our dance family and helping us make recital day unforgettable! 💙
